Water Filter System Maintenance

Does your filtered water have a bad taste or smell?

A comparison of a dirty and clean filter | Countertop water filter

Replacing your filters and performing regular maintenance on your water filter system is important to keep it working properly. A clean system will filter out contaminants more efficiently, keeping your water clean while removing any bad taste and smell.

Assess your water filter system once a month. You should look for:

  • Proper installation – Water filters can perform poorly if not installed correctly. Each ProOne product has specific installation instructions.
  • Leaks – For missing or broken parts, email support@prooneusa.com.
  • Cleanliness of filter housing – Filter housings can be washed with soap and warm water.
